Fertilize Your Plants with Used Coffee

Work grounds into the soil to increase the acidity level. This helps the shrubs absorb aluminum, which keeps the flowers a vibrant blue.

Some flowering plants, like hydrangeas, change colour depending on the pH level of the soil. Adding coffee grounds will reduce the pH level and give you bright blue flowers.

Or, you can use used (cooled) grounds in a small pot/vase with your cut flowers.  They will last much longer AND act as a lovely coffee room deodorizer.
